| "Aljamain Sterling took home the 135 lb amateur belt Saturday night after a tough battle with fellow New Yorker Zach Lange. Sterling, who trains out of the Bombsquad in Cortland, took home the decision after a five round war that at least one seasoned veteran of the sport said was one of the best fights he had ever seen. They are now one and one, a rematch for the title may be held in November at the Seneca Niagara Hotel and Casino". |

| Is Jeff back in town for good? |
Also, I think that he will be available for one-on-one practice in the near future.
Jeff Prescott, two-time NCAA Div-1 champion for Penn State, three-time NYS champion from Olean, will be available for autographs and pictures on Thursday, August 19th, starting at 6:30 pm at Breadsticks in Olean, NY. Jeff is back in the area after spending nearly 10 years in Florida working with a number of high school kids. As coach, his team won the Florida state championship title in 2006.
In a two-prong effort to return to his roots and share his years of experience with area youth, Jeff is developing and promoting the Prescott Wrestling Club. The club will provide area youths with top-notch, individualized coaching and help them develop advanced techniques to increase their chances of success against ever-increasing competition.
Parents, coaches and wrestlers can get further information about Jeff and the Prescott Wrestling Club at Thursday's meet and greet.

Don't do that.... seeing something like that gets me nervous.... But you are kind of right only it would be Mr. Z. Teachers (vice pricipals to be named nameless ) should be held to a higher standard, and should not be allowed to go a personal witch hunt. The teachers union should not protect people like that. They should have the students best interests at heart, and this particular one does not. ooops...... went too far again..... Mr. Z is a great coach, and a better man, it will be dam shame if we lose him becasue they allow one bad apple to spoil the entire school system.... I mean bunch...... There I go again, getting fired up. |

I think it goes back to thier childhood.... at some point they must have been put in a submission hold by a wrestler. |

| The school open their eyes? hahahahahahahahaha you are talking wrestling right? |
I saw Tommy at Empires, and he looks great. He is improving every year, and putting in the time. I am sure that he is happy to have a great drill partner to keep him challenged. (Alex Smythe) I know that Big Tom will will be there to keep him motivated. Needless to say it will be an interesting year. I do not think they will be in the same weight class again.... as for the proud part..... ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!! Not just Tommy, but the whole team, coaches, and parents. I just wish the school could open thier eyes and see what they have, ah but I should stop here. |

| I would say very good showing by both chin cup and super six, second and third respectively, impressive. Outstanding match between the two teams, could of easily gone either way.....Think it would be fair to say that the section 6 wrestlers are doing what they need in the off season to improve for the season... considering the ages of most of those wrestlers i think we will all have alot to be proud of the next few years.....and edendad be very proud, tommy is just plain impressive!!!!! |
| super six had only 2 kids from out of section and one kid out of state...all 3 of them lost vs chin cup so only our local boys put up points against chin cup |
